Overview of the Institution

The N. IBOMCHA INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION is established at Nambol for transforming Higher Education into Value Added Education through Innovation to the need of SC/ST/OBC Students. The College is located along the Nambol Sabal Leikai and Naorem Inter Village Road of the Village No. 23-Maibam under the Nambol Sub-division of the State of Manipur away 15.1 Kms. from the Manipur University via NH-2 and away about 300 meter from Tiddim Road. The campus of the Institution is Eco-friendly spreading over 1.22 acres of land, free from noise and pollution. The Institution is an Under-graduate Integrated Multi-disciplinary Co-educational Hub starting B.A. and B.Sc. 1st Semester from the Academic Session, 2024-25 under the Manipur University.

The Institution is registered under the Socities of Registration Act. 1989, the Registration Number being 844 of 2020 and is established for NO PROFIT NO LOSS BASIS.

The Institution is run by a Management Committee headed by Shri Ningthoujam Ibomcha Singh who is a well known educationist, administrator, and entrepreneur. He was the founder of the S. Kula Women's College, Nambol  worked at different capacities like Principal, Secretary, Govt. Nominee (Local Educationist) and Chairman since the establishment of the college in 1981 till the conversion of the college into full-fledged Govt. College in the year 2020. During his 39 years long tenure in the Management Committee of the college, he scaled up the S. Kula Women's College from hand-full of students  to 1000 plus and from a few courses to a number of Hi-tech Value Added Courses like B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Food Technology, B.Sc. Fashion Designing, BCA, 2-years B.Ed, M.VOC Food Processing etc. Not only the Academic and Physical Development of the College under different Central Sponsored Schemes the College was also able to achieved various remarkable Glories like Conferment of "Colleges with Potential for Excellence" by the UGC and NAAC-A Grade Accreditation as the First Instance in the State of Manipur, Star College Scheme, Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility Centre, Advanced Level Biotechnology Hub under DST, All India ranking within 151 - 200 Ranking Band certified by NIRF, Women's Study Centre under UGC, Food Testing Laboratory under MoFPI etc.

 The N.I. Institute of Education is also founded and pivoted by Shri. Ningthoujam Ibomcha Singh and overall Management of the Institution will be under his supervision with motto of "Innovation, Transformation & Excellence" in higher education.

The main objective of the Institution is to transformed Higher Education into Career Building through Innovation by providing rigorous and comprehensive flexible diversified Academic Programme to promote Excellence in Learning. The Institution aims to promote Double Degree Programme by offering Career Oriented Courses to be run parallel to the main Core Courses and also to run the Integrated Courses like, Integrated B.Ed. Programme in near future.
